We develop noninvasive biotechnologies and molecular tools to precisely control and monitor intact brain cells and tissues in their native environments, deepening our understanding of brain function in health and disease. By integrating therapeutic ultrasound, protein engineering, neuropharmacology, and bioinformatics, we aim to achieve unprecedented spatial, temporal, and molecular precision in modulating and monitoring endogenous biological processes while preserving the brain's native environment. Our vision is to transform how we investigate the brain, drive fundamental discoveries in neuroscience, and enable targeted, noninvasive therapies for neurological disorders.
